Can RFK End Chronic Disease in 2 Years? His Strategy Inside
The media is in a frenzy over Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination for HHS Secretary (which includes overseeing the FDA, NIH, and USDA), maligning Trump’s selection as an unqualified and even dangerous anti-vax conspiracy theorist.
And yet, despite this supposed madman’s alleged lack of qualifications, more American voters approve of this nomination than disapprove. Why aren’t more Americans swallowing the media’s pill to poison their perception of this public figure?
Perhaps it is because the 60% of Americans who suffer from chronic disease and their loved ones recognize that something is very wrong, and the campaign to Make American Healthy Again represents a timely solution to an increasingly deadly problem. Perhaps Americans are willing to overlook some less-than-mainstream views for the promise that someone is willing to fight the corruption that has allowed our food system to poison us with over 10,000 additives that corporations assure us are “generally recognized as safe.”
Perhaps it’s that, half a decade after the pandemic, Americans aren’t so gullible when they read a propagandistic hit-piece any longer.
Evaluating Media Claims: Is RFK Anti-Vax?
Despite the media’s alarmist reporting, RFK has repeatedly reiterated that he is not anti-vax, revealed that he and his children are vaccinated, and assured the public that he “is not going to take anyone’s vaccines away.”
What he does argue is that vaccines need to be safety tested (right?), that some vaccines have caused injuries (here’s the gov website to report and receive compensation), and that more research is needed to ascertain the affects of the current 72-dose CDC schedule of vaccines (given that it has never been investigated).
But RFK is questioning medical dogma, and for that, he must be silenced and condemned.
Who might have an interest in painting this man and his seemingly reasonable claims as a villain and threat to the American public?
It certainly couldn’t be agro-giant Monsanto, who lost a historic $290 million in a lawsuit RFK brought on behalf of its cancer victims. Might the food industry have any potential concerns with his aggressive messaging about the additives in American food, or Big Pharma, who stand to lose billions if Kennedy succeeds in making Americans healthy again?
The fact is, there are few corporate giants to whom Kennedy hasn’t stood up in his illustrious career as environmental lawyer and health advocate. And that, coupled with the proximity he now has to enacting real change, means there are massive financial interests in seeing him publicly discredited.
What has RFK actually proposed?
Despite all the rhetoric insisting that RFK is the bogeyman come to give us all pertussis and destroy American health (seriously, NPR, how much further do we have to fall?), Kennedy has spoken about specific changes he hopes to make in his future capacity as HHS Secretary.
Here is a list of RFK’s proposed changes:
Remove fluoride from our water
Legacy media insists that this is more malevolent misinformation from a madman, but the EPA has already been ordered to reassess the safety of this decades-old practice due to the growing body of evidence from which RFK makes his claims.End corruption and return to evidence-based science
Kennedy has promised to end conflicts of interest by eliminating the ties of the FDA, etc. to the industries they are tasked with regulating.
Eliminating soda as an eligible SNAP purchase
RFK has indicated plans for the USDA to bans the use of food stamps (SNAP) to purchase soda. When accused of being “racist” for wanting to reduce access to sugar for black Americans, Kennedy responded that Coca-Cola giving millions in NAACP bribes to promote soda consumption that “make every black kid sick is racist.”
Reduce chronic disease in children in 2 years
RFK has reveled that Trump has asked him to measurably reduce chronic disease in children in 2 years. In addition to banning SNAP funds for soda purchases, Kennedy plans to reform school lunch programs by “eliminating processed foods immediately.”
Potential allowance of Medicaid funds for lifestyle interventions
Kennedy has pointed out, “For half the price of Ozempic, we could purchase regeneratively raised, organic food for every American, three meals a day and a gym membership, for every obese American.”
My Personal Policy Wishlist
Of course, I would love to see the toxic additives eliminated from our food supply, ultra-processed foods banned from hospitals and school cafeterias, and all vaccines fully tested for safety and pharma held accountable for vaccine injuries (by law you and I, the American taxpayers, are currently footing the bill in these lawsuits) .
In addition to the plans listed above, I have my own list of changes I would love to see in the next four years. Granted, some of these will fall outside the purview of HHS Secretary, but I’ll list them just the same.
The Farm Bill
Ultra-processed foods are so unhealthy in part because they are made with seed oils, and they are made with seed oils because we, the American taxpayers, are subsidizing these crops. I would love to see us transition away from funding these toxic monocultures that are destroying our health and our soil and redirect those funds towards organic and regenerative methods of agriculture that restore health to our bodies and our soil. To this end, I am encouraged to see that Joel Salatin has been appointed as an advisor to the Secretary of the USDA — certainly a step in the right direction.
Immediate End to Glyphosate Use
Monsanto’s flagship product, the herbicide glyphosate aka “RoundUp,” has been linked to Alzheimer’s, autoimmune diseases, non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and the destruction of our gut health. Because of its classification as a likely carcinogen by the WHO and the billions it has paid in cancer lawsuits, glyphosate has been banned in 34 countries. I would love to see it banned here, too.
GRAS Classification
In the US, industry is permitted to use chemicals it develops and declares are “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS). While I believe “innocent until proven guilty” is essential in a court of law, chemicals that pose a risk to human health ought not receive the same benefit of the doubt. If an industry wants to expose its consumers to chemicals, they ought to be required to prove those chemicals do not pose a risk to human health or disclose the known risks of that product to the consumer.
Federal funding for independent research on nutrition, herbal remedies, and traditional medicines
I would love to see a portion of federal research funds reserved for research on food as medicine and herbal or traditional remedies that cannot be patented, and therefore are left uninvestigated. We have developed an overreliance on pharmaceuticals and a skepticism towards traditional remedies simply because of the bias in the research that results from the fact that industry doesn’t have a financial incentive to fund the research.
What’s on your wishlist for the MAHA agenda?
Need to get caught up on the conversation surrounding chronic disease in America?
Watching a podcast with sibling duo Casey and Calley Means is a prerequisite for understanding the conversation that is happening at the national level. I recommend their interviews with Tucker Carlson or Joe Rogan. Pick your poison.
Carlson’s interview with Dr. Mark Hyman, the “father of functional medicine,” is excellent as well. It’s aptly titled, “Everything You’re Eating Is Poison, and Big Pharma Likes It That Way.”
And if you’re interested in hearing it all from the horse’s mouth, definitely check out RFK’s most recent interview with Joe Rogan. You’ll understand his position on vaccines, glyphosate, and how this environmental crusader evolved as the champion of children’s health in a cesspool of corporate interests.

Health Swap
In this jolly season, treats abound. Yet, we know that US food additives are abundant and toxic, with dyes like red 40 being linked to ADHD and other psychiatric disorders, and is banned in California, half the EU, Australia, New Zealand Canada, China and Japan.
Thanks to brands like YumEarth, you can enjoy your candy-cane-induced sugar highs without the nasty side effects of artificial dyes.
